JESUS
As Lutheran Christians we specifically believe that Jesus Christ was God in human flesh, who lived a perfect life and died an innocent death to receive the punishment we deserve for our sinfulness. On Easter, Jesus rose from the dead and is alive today, ruling over all things, and preparing a place for us in heaven.
THE BIBLE
The Bible is the word of God. It not only contains, but is actually the inerrant and infallible Word of God and the only source of revealed truth concerning Jesus, faith and salvation. All of the teachings of the Lutheran faith are based on Scriptural truth.
THE SACRAMENTS
Baptism and the Lord's Supper (Holy Communion) are means through which the Holy Spirit imparts saving faith and offers forgiveness of sins and strengthened faith in Christ. In the Lord's Supper, Christ's body and blood are truly present in and with the bread and wine. Please Note: Because of the counsel in 1 Corinthians 11:28-29 concerning proper instruction and preparation before reception of the Lord's Supper, guests from other church bodies are asked to speak with one of the Pastors prior to the reception of the Sacrament.
THE CHURCH
The Church is the body of all believers in Christ who trust that Jesus is the Savior of the world. Lutheran congregations are independent bodies, governed only by members of that congregation, organized by the Voter's Assembly. Christ the King joins with thousands of other Lutheran congregations throughout the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod in support of world missions and higher education.
ETERNAL LIFE
All people are sinners and in need of forgiveness through faith in Jesus as the Savior of all. Trust in Jesus alone assures us of everlasting life in heaven.
