Sharon Ziegler
Ms. Ziegler is the Director of Christ the King Preschool and teaches both 3 year-old and 4 year-old classes. She graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska where she earned a B.S. in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Development concentration. She has 14 years of teaching experience and began as teacher and director at Christ the King in 2001. Ms. Ziegler has three daughters and is a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Fraser. Jill Farrar
Ms. Farrar teaches 3 year-old and 4 year-old classes, as well as the Young Fives class. She graduated from WCCD with an Associate Degree in Elementary Education and obtained her B.S. in Elementary Education and her master's degree in Early Childhood Development from Wayne State University. Ms. Farrar is the mother of two daughters; one is a graduate of Grosse Poinet North and the other is an 8th grader at Parcells. You can email her at

Teacher Aides
Nancy Burns
Mrs. Burns has a teaching degree from Oakland University. She taught for five years in the Chippewa Valley School System and has been with Christ the King Preschool for 21 years. She works with Ms. Ziegler’s 4 year old classes. Ms. Burns is married with two grown sons.
Julie Bohannon
Mrs. Bohannon has a B.A. degree from Central Michigan University. She has been with Christ the King Preschool for 10 years and works in Ms. Farrar's 4 year-old classroom. Mrs. Bohannon is a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, is married and has a daughter who graduated from college and a son who will be a junior in college.
Elizabeth Holm
Mrs. Holm has a design degree from Southern Illinois University. This is her 7th year at Christ the King. She works in Ms. Ziegler’s 3 year-old classrooms. Mrs. Holm is married with three children — a son who is an MSU grad, a daughter who is a junior at Loyola in Chicago and a daughter who is a sophomore at Grosse Pointe South.
Joni Neveux
Mrs. Neveux is a life long “Grosse Pointer,” graduating from Grosse Pointe North High School. She has extensive experience working with preschoolers, as she was on the preschool staff at St. Michael’s and St. Paul’s prior to her working at Christ the King. She has been with Christ the King Preschool for 9 years and works with Ms. Farrar’s 3 and 4 year old classes. She has been married for 33 years and has two grown children and a sophomore at Grosse Pointe South (a former Christ the King Preschool student). She is also grandmother to Max.
Pat Steinkampf
Mrs. Steinkampf has a teaching degree in elementary education with a master’s degree in Reading from Michigan State University. She taught six years in Algonac at the elementary grade level. This is her 8th year at Christ the King Preschool. She works in Ms. Ziegler’s 3 year-old classes. She also works part-time as an ESL (English as a Second Language) assistant in the Grosse Pointe Public Schools and is the Sunday school teacher for 5 year-olds at her church. Mrs. Steinkampf is married with three children - a student at Baker College, a senior at Michigan State University, and an 8th grader at Brownell.
