"Open Registration"
Beginning February 1st, you can drop off your application at the Preschool. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, based on classroom openings. See Open Registration below (item E). A. Christ the King members Families that wish to enroll their child in our preschool must be communicant members before January 1st of the same school year. Openings are available on a first come, first served basis. Christ the King members will be given first priority once currently enrolled students have registered. For this priority placement in either the 3 or 4-year old programs, you must register during the announced registration period. Registration money and forms will be taken in person during weekday school office hours (8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.). Paid registration forms for all eligible children will be recorded with the date and time received. One representative per family, a parent or guardian, will be allowed to register the child. Members will receive validation of enrollment during February of that year. B. Currently Enrolled Students Children currently enrolled in the 3 and 4-year old preschool programs, who wish to continue to attend Christ the King preschool the following school year, will have first priority for the 4-year old program and the Young Fives program. Openings are available on a first come, first served basis. For this priority placement, you must register during the announced registration period. If you are keeping your currently enrolled child in the same time slot you may register by placing registration money and forms in the preschool tuition box, otherwise, you must register in person during weekday school hours (8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.). Paid registration forms for all eligible children will be recorded with the date and time received. One representative per family, a parent or guardian, will be allowed to register the child. Families will receive validation of enrollment during February of that year. C. Siblings of Currently Enrolled Students Parents of children currently enrolled in the 3 and 4 year old and Young Five preschool program at Christ the King, who wish to enroll a younger sibling, may do so during the announced registration period in January. The enrollment application needs to be dropped off at the Preschool along with the registration fee. A phone call during the month of February will notify you of the validation of enrollment of your child. D. Alumni Children of families who have had an older sibling attend Christ the King preschool within the last ten years may enroll during the announced registration period in January. The enrollment application needs to be dropped off at the Preschool along with the registration fee. A phone call during the month of February will notify you of the validation of enrollment for your child. E. Open Registration Open Registration Begins February 1st. Applications will be taken between 8:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. If necessary, a random drawing will take place to fill the remaining openings for the fall session. Arriving prior to 8:30 a.m. will not be beneficial in your child's placement. Notification by a phone call will take place in February informing you if your child has been placed in a class or needs to be placed on a waiting list. *Please note: We will pre-register any student whose application and registration fee is turned in during our January Open House. F. Waiting list Should all available places be filled, a child may still register and be placed on a waiting list. Placement on the list will be on a first come, first served basis during the appropriate registration period. All registration forms must be completed to reserve a place on this list. G. Special Considerations The Preschool Committee may exercise its power to make exceptions to meet the special need or cases if it sees fit.
