MOM’S DAY OUT
Do you need a few hours of free time to take care of some errands and get some shopping done? Maybe you have an appointment or need some “me time.” Our teachers and workers are moms and know that it is much easier to do all that alone, without having to take your child in and out of the car seat and in and out of the store or doctor’s office. It’s possible you could spend less at the grocery store because you won’t have little ones asking you for everything they see on the shelf. Can you imagine a peaceful shopping experience?
Christ the King would like to help you out. We are starting a new program for a Friday afternoon off for parents who would like to drop their children off with us and we will educate and watch your children for you while you get those errands done.
Ms. Farrar would have a project and a snack for your children, as well as good ole educational free play. There will also be aides in the classroom to help out. Below is the information you are looking for:
When:
Second Friday of the month (through May) from 12:15 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Where:
Christ the King Lutheran Church (Ms. Farrar’s classroom and church nursery).
Who:
Children from the ages of 2 years-Kindergarten (Ms. Farrar’s classroom) and 0-1 (upstairs nursery).
Requirements:
You would need to sign up your children a week in advance so we are prepared for the number of children that will be in the classroom. You will also be required to fill out an emergency contact sheet in case we need to reach you.
January 11 – sign up by January 8
February 8 – sign up by February 1
March 14 – sign up by March 7
April 11 – sign up by April 4
May 9 – sign up by May 2
Cost:
$15/child OR $25/family: Payment due when child is dropped off. Checks made payable to: Christ the King
***We would be looking for volunteer parents to assist. If you help out one session, then you would receive a free session to drop off your children while you run your errands or shop. Please sign up to volunteer on the sign up sheet.
Late Pick Up: You will be given a 5-minute grace period. After 3:05, you will be charged $1.00/minute that you are late for picking up your child.
***You must have emergency cards completely filled out and full payment before leaving your child with us.
