A Typical Day at Preschool
A typical day at preschool consists of free play,Jesus time, project time, gym time, circle time, center time, and snack time. Our fours and Young Fives take several field trips during the year, as well.
Free Play
The preschool day begins with free play. Children master their social skills by choosing from many activities. Some activities include dress up, blocks, housekeeping, kitchen area, book corner, trains, Lego™, dollhouses and more.

Jesus Time
Each day the children are taught a Bible story at Jesus time. Sometimes a puppet helps us learn about Jesus. Our Jesus time also includes prayer and songs. Once a month we go into the church for a special Jesus time with Pastor Boelter.

Project Time
Once a week our classes will make a project. These projects coincide with our theme or letter of the week. Some typical themes are apples, community helpers, winter, underwater, rainforest, transportation, farm, and much more!

Gym Time
Once a week our classes practice our gross motor skills in our large auditorium. In this photo we were playing a game with colored ribbons to reinforce our color theme. Other gym activities include using our parachute, scooters, beanbags, balls, and obstacle courses.

Circle Time
Each day the children gather on carpet squares to have our circle time. We put the date on the calendar and count the days. We also dress our weather bear and discuss the weather. We will then learn about our theme for the week by doing an activity or reading a story. Our four-year-old classes learn a letter of the alphabet each week during circle time.

Center Time
Daily center time includes fine motor manipulatives that go along with our themes. We have a coloring center, listening center, puzzles, play dough, painting, and many other manipulatives to choose from. The four year old and young fives classes also use the computers at center time.

Snack Time
Each day we have snack time at preschool. The children bring their own snacks to school and juice is provided. The children may bring special treats for the class to celebrate their birthday!

Field Trips
The fours and young fives classes take several field trips throughout the school year. Some favorites are the apple orchard, fire station, and gymnastics academy.
